Activity 1: Define your career goals
Objective: Identify your top 3 career aspirations for the next 2-5 years and learn how they connect to Juicy Marbles’ vision and values.
Steps:
- Imagine a situation 2-5 years from now: you are on a job interview for your next dream job:
- What kind of position would you be interviewing for at that time?
- What new experiences do you want to have? When they ask you, "Tell me more about specific projects you finished/value you brought to the team" what would you want to talk about? Examples: I would like to have the experience of bringing the sales up for 10 % in a region. OR I would like to have the experience of setting up an IFS system from scratch.
- What skills would you have mastered by then? What hands-on, hard skills would you have (3D printing, IFS mastery, pricing calculations ...)? What about soft skills (leadership, project management, conflict resolution...)?
- To whom would you be connected professionally? (i. e. I imagine myself being connected to some strong international players in the field of sensory. I imagine connecting to sales reps. from top 5 plant based companies in the world.)
- Answer the following questions about how/if your goals align to Juicy Marbles values, vision and north star goals:
- Were there any situations where you already felt like you “lived” the values? Have you noticed this in your team?
- Are your personal goals aligned to Juicy Marbles values and vision in your opinion? Why yes/no?
Activity 2: Your Next Tour
Objective: Think about what actual steps you can take to realize your career goals. These steps can be a part of your next tour.
Steps:
- Brainstorm all possible ways you could realize the goals you identified in Activity 1. Use these questions:
- What steps do you need to take to get there?
- What does success look like in your opinion?
- What resources might you need?
- Who could help?
- What existing skills and strengths could you leverage?
- Are there any smaller steps that could be taken now?
- Are there any obstacles you’ll need to address?
Example goal: Get product design experience and skills
Example next steps:
- take a product design class
- attend a product design conference
- join a product design-related LinkedIn group
- Observe a product team’s design session
- Job shadow a product designer
- Consult with a product design expert or mentor

Prepare a short summary of reasons for a salary increase, including the following:
- Do a self-assessment using the skills matrix (If you can't access it, contact HR).
- List the projects you successfully finished since your last salary upgrade. Think about how they contributed to the company goals. List situations when you took on new responsibilities, showed great ownership and used your strengths.
- Show your learning curve. What have you learned in this period? Have you taken any courses/gone to conferences/acquired knowledge in any other way? How have you worked on improving your strengths?
- Think about the future. Check your Tour of Duty mission objectives and think about the business goals we have as a company. What could be your next goal that contributes to both your personal and Juicy Marbles objectives? What do you want to commit to in terms of skills growth, role improvement, and process creation? Propose 2-3 goals for the next 3-6 months. List resources that you would need to make it happen.
