What would you be doing?
- Conduct routine microbiological tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
- Analyse and interpret microbiological data, prepare detailed reports on findings, and provide recommendations for corrective actions when necessary.
- Oversee quality control procedures to ensure product safety and consistency.
- Help with sensory evaluation panels to assess product taste, smell, texture, and appearance.
- Maintain accurate records of all tests, results, and observations.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards (HACCP, IFS).
- Critically assess test results, prepare reports and list your suggestions.
- Work with other teams to implement corrective actions and process improvements.
- Keep the laboratory clean and organised.
What do you need?
- Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or Biotechnology
- Minimum of one year of experience in a microbiology laboratory setting, which can include internships or student research projects.
- Familiarity with microbiological testing methods and food safety regulations.
- Understanding of HACCP, and other food safety management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document and analyse data.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Proficiency with basic laboratory equipment and software applications.
- Fluent Slovenian and English.
Nice to have
- Experience in the food production industry.
- Knowledge of sensory evaluation techniques.
